Job Title: Centre Director – Specialist Neurology Care Home

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Centre Director to lead our specialist neurology care home in South East London. The Centre Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility’s operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the care home team, ensuring the achievement of organizational goals and objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize the delivery of care and services.
  2. Staff Recruitment and Development: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning. Provide leadership and support to staff to enhance their skills and competencies in caring for residents with neurological conditions.
  3. Resident Care: Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes and quality of life.
  4. Quality Assurance: Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, quality benchmarks, and best practices in neurological care. Conduct regular audits, assessments, and evaluations to monitor the effectiveness of care delivery and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Family and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, guardians, and external stakeholders. Act as a liaison between the care home and community resources, advocacy groups, and healthcare providers to promote collaboration and continuity of care.
  6. Financial Management: Develop and manage the care home budget, ensuring prudent allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets. Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost optimization while maintaining high standards of care.
  7. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to resident safety, health outcomes, and operational continuity. Develop and implement protocols for managing emergencies, incidents, and complaints effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Previous experience in a senior management or leadership role within a healthcare or social care setting, preferably in neurology or rehabilitation services.
  • Knowledge of neurological conditions, treatment modalities, and best practices in care delivery.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, drive organizational change, and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and autonomy for individuals with neurological conditions.
