Role Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Band 7 Neuro Physiotherapist with inpatient experience to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with neurological conditions within inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord injury, to determine functional limitations and rehabilitation goals.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient, utilizing evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to optimize functional recovery and independence.
  • Provide expert physiotherapy interventions, including gait training, balance exercises, mobility training, and therapeutic exercises, to improve motor function, strength, and range of motion.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including neurologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and nurses, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  • Offer education and support to patients and their families on self-management techniques, adaptive strategies, and community resources to facilitate successful transition to home or community-based settings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Physiotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Substantial experience working as a Band 7 Physiotherapist in neurology or neuro-rehabilitation within inpatient settings.
  • Specialized knowledge and expertise in the assessment and management of patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.
  • Advanced skills in conducting neurological assessments, interpreting assessment findings, and formulating comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
