Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to understand the needs of individuals with mental health challenges.
  2. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to enhance clients’ daily living skills and independence.
  3. Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, contributing to holistic care plans and effective interventions.
  4. Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to support clients in achieving their mental health and well-being goals.
  5. Participate in care planning, reviews, and discharge planning, ensuring continuous assessment and adaptation of interventions.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to professional standards and data protection regulations.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Occupational Therapist with current registration and experience at Band 7 level.
  2. Proven experience in mental health settings, demonstrating a strong understanding of the occupational therapy role.
  3. Excellent assessment and analytical skills to tailor interventions to individual client needs.
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  5. Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical guidelines.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
