Description

Pulse is seeking to recruit a band 7 Occupational Therapist to work within the falls prevention service at a well-established NHS trust based in London. The role is available to start as soon as possible, working 33.75 hours per week for an ongoing period.

The appointed Occupational Therapist will be to highly provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments for patients receiving input from the Falls Prevention Team and to deliver a broad range of training programmes covering all aspects of Falls prevention and occupational therapy rehabilitation and professional development to the multidisciplinary team. The postholder will also lead in the delivery of a specialist Occupational Therapy service within the multidisciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner, ensuring the highest possible standards of practice.

Duties within this role will include: 
• Providing care plans and setting patient goals
• Ensure a high-quality service delivery and evidence-based treatment
• Carry out assessments on patient progress 
• Working within multi-disciplinary team
• Organising rehabilitation plans
• Help to improve standards of care by efficient and effective use of resources

Skills and experience needed: 
• Previous NHS experience 
• Relevant clinical qualification or degree 
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and System One
• Excellent communication skills
• HCPC registration 
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise own caseload
