Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Band 7 Medical Physiotherapist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering specialist physiotherapy interventions to individuals receiving care within mental health settings. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to enhancing the overall well-being and functional independence of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for individuals with mental health conditions, focusing on rehabilitation, mobility, and pain management.
  • Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to address musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional impairments, incorporating a multidisciplinary approach to care.
  • Collaborate closely with medical and allied health professionals to coordinate and integrate physiotherapy services into holistic care plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment progress regularly, adjusting interventions as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes and promote recovery.
  • Provide education and support to service users, families, and caregivers regarding injury prevention, self-management strategies, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures in accordance with professional and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practicing physiotherapist.
  • Specialized training and/or experience in areas such as musculoskeletal rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, or pain management.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
