Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our Community Rapid Response team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in delivering timely and effective physiotherapy interventions to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises within the community setting. Your expertise and dedication will directly contribute to improving the overall well-being and quality of life of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide rapid response physiotherapy assessments and interventions for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises in the community.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mental health professionals, to develop and implement holistic care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify functional impairments and develop appropriate treatment goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to promote mobility, independence, and overall physical well-being.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to service users, families, and caregivers regarding injury prevention, self-management techniques, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum of [X] years of post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical setting, preferably within mental health or community services.
  • Proven experience in conducting rapid response assessments and delivering timely interventions.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
