Job Title: Band 6 Stroke and Neurology Occupational Therapist

Position Overview: As a Band 6 Stroke and Neurology Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to individuals recovering from stroke and various neurological conditions. You will work closely with patients to assess their needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to improve their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning of patients with stroke and neurological conditions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment goals and plans based on patient needs and preferences.
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance functional abilities, promote independence, and maximize rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and community resources to facilitate long-term recovery and participation in daily activities.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document interventions in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum of [insert years] years of clinical experience working with patients with stroke and neurological conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of stroke rehabilitation principles, neuroanatomy, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
