Are you a compassionate Occupational Therapist looking for a new opportunity to expand your skills?

Pulse is seeking to recruit a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a busy rapid response team at an NHS client based in London. The role is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours per week for an initial three-month period.

As a Rapid Response Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and addressing the occupational therapy needs of patients with acute and urgent conditions. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide timely interventions and facilitate the best possible outcomes for patients across various healthcare settings. Applying candidates must have Acute or community experience, experience in Falls prevention,  intermediate care, both bed based or community rehabilitation, at least 2 years’ experience at Band 5, experience working with frail, elderly people, rapid Response team experience, admission avoidance or A and E experience as well as MSK experience.

Duties within this role will include:

  • Providing home care packages
  • Carrying out risk assessments
  • Making hospital referrals/discharge planning
  • Devising rehabilitation programmes to develop skills
  • Dealing with equipment to assist with daily living
  • Managing own caseload

Skills and experience needed:

  • Full licence and access to own vehicle
  • Wide knowledge of long-term condition management
  • HCPC registration
  • Relevant degree/qualification
