Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist with expertise in stroke recovery to join our esteemed team. As a Stroke Recovery Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals recovering from strokes, providing comprehensive occupational therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments of stroke survivors to identify individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  2. Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance functional independence and quality of life for stroke patients.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and nurses, to ensure holistic patient care.
  4. Provide support and education to patients, families, and caregivers on stroke recovery strategies and community resources.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  2. Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  3. Band 6 Occupational Therapy experience, with a focus on stroke recovery.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in stroke rehabilitation.
