Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to join our NHS client’s reputable community service in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. This role is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for an ongoing period. 

As a Locum Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care to individuals within the community setting. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans to address the needs of clients in their own homes or community settings.
  • Providing expert occupational therapy interventions to promote independence, enhance function, and improve quality of life.
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, nurses, and support workers, to ensure holistic care delivery.
  • Offering advice, support, and education to clients, families, and caregivers to facilitate self-management and optimize outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records in compliance with professional and organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • UK driver’s license and access to your own car. 
  • Previous experience working as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in an adult community setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
