Role Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner with specialized expertise in Eating Disorders to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to provide high-quality care and support to young individuals experiencing eating disorders, offering assessment, treatment, and therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of young individuals presenting with eating disorders, including physical and psychological evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy, and other modalities as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic care.
  • Offer support and guidance to families and caregivers, facilitating their involvement in the treatment process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Clinical Psychologist, or other relevant professional qualification.
  • Minimum of Band 6 experience within CAMHS or a related mental health setting.
  • Specialized expertise in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders in children and adolescents.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines governing mental health care provision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
