Are you an empathetic Mental Health Practitioner looking for an exciting new role?

We are now recruiting for a Band 6/7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join a well-established NHS trust based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire on a locum contract. The post on offer will be an immediate start, working full-time hours per week for an initial 3 months from the start date. As this is a band 6/7 position, our client will also welcome Newly Qualified Psychologists as well as experienced candidates.

The successful Practitioner will management of a defined caseload using specialist knowledge and advanced clinical reasoning to undertake assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programs. The applying candidate must be able undertake mental health assessment and offer treatment to children and young people in a community mental health setting – with experience of 2 years post qualified as well as previous CAMHS experience. This role will mainly offer face to face appointments within locality clinics within Worcestershire and the trust can offer some time to work remotely due to the hybrid model they have in place.

Skills and experience needed:

  • Managing a caseload
  • Offer clinical treatment work and consultation
  • Experience with a wide range of mental health presentations
  • Can work well independently and as part of the team
