Band 6/7 – Physiotherapist/OT – Wheelchair – Doncaster

Pulse is now seeking to recruit a band 6 or 7 Physiotherapist/OT who specialises in wheelchair therapy, to join a well-established team at an innovative NHS trust based in Doncaster, Yorkshire.  The role is available to start ASAP, working full-time hours per week for an initial 4-month period.

The role is for a senior postural advisor, the postholder will prescribe manual or powered wheelchairs, specialist modifications, postural supports and/or other associated equipment within the budgetary constraints issued by the Wheelchair and Special Seating Services as appropriate. The role will suit a suitable qualified and experienced Physio or OT, and the grading will reflect the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

Duties within this role will include:

• Providing advice on wheelchair product range for patient’s comfort
• Manage own caseload
• Providing advice, arranging equipment or recommending alterations to the home, to ensure safe and competent use of such equipment 
• Being professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of own work

To be considered for this role you must: 

• Be HCPC registered
• Have previous experience working within a similar role
• Hold the relevant degree/qualifications in occupational therapy/physiotherapy
