Description

Are you a compassionate Physiotherapist who specialises in Learning Disabilities?

Our client is currently seeking a Band 6/7 Physiotherapist to join their team which is in a private service based in Sutton, Surrey. This position will be available for the successful therapist to start immediately, working part-time hours per week on a permanent basis.

The clients who the postholder will be caring for have a wide range of needs including profound and multiple learning disabilities, communication and behavioural difficulties, and specific medical needs. All students are individuals, and their learning programme is designed to support and empower them to achieve their aspirations and goals, whilst developing skills to become more independent members of their community.

Rates:

Band 6: £38,690 – £45,572 per annum

Band 7: £46,643 – £52,656 per annum

Applying OT’s must have:

  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Degree/qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Extensive experience within a similar NHS setting
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to build good relationships with patients

Duties within this role will include:

  • ASD assessment
  • Carrying out functional assessments
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Treating clients with Autism/ADHD
  • Managing own caseload
  • Being legally and professionally accountable for own work
