Oncology Lead | Band 6/7 equivalent | Full time| Permanent

We are thrilled to announce a new full-time permanent position for an Oncology Lead to join a prominent private hospital in Hove.

Role Specification

To deliver exceptional planned care for cancer patients taking systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT). Lead SACT specialist providing specialist education, research, and audit in the field of cancer care.

To guarantee that the team provides effective quality care and adheres to safety compliance for cancer patients by offering exceptional clinical and managerial leadership.

To provide guidance and assistance to other members of the department, as well as to assist the Macmillan Specialist Cancer Pathways Manager in the overall administration of the hospital’s healthcare environment.

To fill in for the Macmillan Specialist Cancer Pathways Manager as needed.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse with a proven background in oncology/chemotherapy, ideally within a day case chemotherapy environment
  • Recognised qualification and competency in the delivery of SACT
  • Recognised or working towards qualification in Independent prescribing
  • Evidence of substantial post registration continual professional development in management and clinically related cancer studies
