Pulse Mental Health, a leading recruitment agency, is actively seeking an experienced Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic NHS Trust in North London. This role focuses on Emergency Department and Assessment Units, with a particular emphasis on admission avoidance. Role and Responsibilities:

As a Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist (Band 6/7) specializing in Emergency Department and Assessment Units, your role will be instrumental in the delivery of effective care with a focus on admission avoidance. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments of patients in the Emergency Department and Assessment Units, implementing timely and targeted interventions to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.

  2. Admission Avoidance Strategies: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement admission avoidance strategies, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

  3. Transdisciplinary Working: Foster effective transdisciplinary collaboration, working closely with colleagues in various specialties to provide holistic and patient-centered care.

  4. Rehabilitation: Provide rehabilitation services to enhance the functional independence of patients, facilitating their safe discharge from the Emergency Department and Assessment Units.

  5. Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records, adhering to relevant guidelines and policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Substantial experience in Emergency Department and/or Assessment Units.
  • Demonstrated expertise in admission avoidance strategies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a transdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
