Position Overview: As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will involve assessment, treatment planning, and intervention to enhance the daily functioning and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ functional abilities, identifying areas for intervention.
  2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based occupational therapy techniques.
  3. Providing therapeutic interventions to address clients’ mental health needs, focusing on activities of daily living, coping skills, and community integration.
  4. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients.
  5. Monitoring and evaluating clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  6. Providing education and support to clients, families, and caregivers to enhance understanding and participation in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  3. Previous experience working in mental health settings is desirable but not mandatory for Band 5 level applicants.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  5. Passion for promoting mental health and well-being through innovative and client-centered occupational therapy practices.
