The Biomedical Science team at Pulse are currently recruiting a Band 5-6 Biomedical Scientist to work in Greater Manchester. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s service.

 Biomedical Scientist
Banding: 5-6
Location: Greater Manchester
Hours: Full-time
Duration: Ongoing

What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?

As a Biomedical Scientist, you will be expected to be proficient in microtomy able to cut over 30 blocks and hour to a high standard; alongside having experience in embedding and staining. On a day to day basis you will be supporting the senior biomedical scientists in the delivery of the service and providing guidance to junior members of staff.

Essential Requirements for this Biomedical Scientist position:

  • HCPC registered
  • Microtomy experience
  • UK NHS or private sector laboratory experience
  • Cobas 8000 and cITm experience
