Anaesthetics Theatre Nurse/Practitioner

Location: Ashtead, Surrey, UK

Salary: £34,000 – £40,000 (annual) depending on experience

** Welcome Bonus / Relocation Allowance of £3600!

Role: Permanent, Full-time position

Pulse Nursing has a fantastic opportunity for an Anaesthetics Theatre Nurse/Practitioner to join a well-established hospital in their busy theatres!

 

The leading private hospital focuses on a wide range of different procedures such as full diagnostic and endoscopy procedures, orthopaedic surgery including spinal treatment and pain management, general surgery including spinal vein removal and hernia surgery, ophthalmology including eye laser surgery, gynaecology, urology and ear, nose and throat treatments. They also have 3 operating theatres all with laminar flow that support the best orthopaedic surgeries.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Focus on peri-operative care
  • Prepare patients for operative procedures
  • Liaising with patients, families and consultants
  • Assemble, check and prepare appropriate surgical instruments and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures – any faults need to be reported to theatre manager immediately
  • Coordinate use of supplies and equipment – ensuring all is safe and ready to use as well as monitor and order stock for operative procedures
  • Provide a safe environment for all
  • Support colleagues/team along with operative procedures
  • Contribute to changes in practice ad policies ensuring all policies and procedures are met and followed for NMC and/or HPC codes of practice
  • Maintain safe custody of handling all drugs in accordance with policies

 

We are looking for you to be:

  • NMC/HCPC Registered
  • Previous experience in theatres
