Anaesthetic and Recovery Theatre Practitioner

Location: Central Manchester, UK

Salary: £25,655 – £34,172 (annual) depending on experience
Up to £4,000 joining bonus available*** T&C’s apply

Role: Permanent, Full-time & Part-time positions available

 

Pulse Nursing is currently recruiting for an Anaesthetics Theatre Practitioner to join one the largest private healthcare companies in Manchester!

The well-renowned hospital has 44 private rooms each with en-suite facilities, five laminar flow theatres and one hybrid theatre, level 3 critical care unit, an endoscopy suite, paediatric services for children, physiotherapy and more! You will have the opportunity to work with a large theatre team in various environments and see simple and complex surgeries. These specialities can include general, thoracic, spinal, neurological, orthopaedic, laparoscopic, ophthalmic, gynaecology and urology.

They have opportunities to fill a permanent position but are looking for both full-time and part time candidates!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating all aspects of patient care
  • Delivering a high standard of patient care applying evidence-based practice
  • Being able to work in a multidisciplinary team in all areas of theatre and supporting your colleagues
  • Preparing the operating theatre/anaesthetic room for surgery ensuring all equipment and supplied required are stocked
  • Run a theatre list without supervision
  • Promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, organising data, interpreting information and making justifiable assessments
  • Ensuring patient record is completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Improve working environment and contribute to improving health and safety environments, infection control and work practices

We are looking for you to be:

  • An NMC Registered Nurse, or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
  • Completed an anaesthetics course(s)
  • Ideally, also ALS (advanced life support) or ILS (immediate life support) training – however, training & courses are offered
