Anaesthetic and Recovery Theatre Nurse / Practitioner

Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK

Salary: £32,000- £36,500 (annual) depending on experience
£2,000 welcome bonus offered *T’s and C’s apply*

Role: Permanent, Full-Time position

 

Pulse Nursing is currently recruiting for an Anaesthetics Theatre Nurse/Practitioner to join one the largest private healthcare companies in Macclesfield!

The remarkable hospital specialises in general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgery and some spinal and vascular surgery. The hospital has two operating theatres that operate three theatre sessions per theatre, six days per week – both are laminar flow and used for orthopaedic surgery! You will have the opportunity to develop your skills as the unit performs various surgical procedures ranging from general surgery, orthopaedic, ENT, plastics and ophthalmic.

They have opportunities to fill a permanent full-time position!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating all aspects of patient care
  • Delivering a high standard of patient care applying evidence-based practice
  • Being able to work in a multidisciplinary team in all areas of theatre and supporting your colleagues, supervising and mentoring junior staff
  • Perform anaesthetic duties
  • Preparing the operating theatre/anaesthetic room for surgery ensuring all equipment and supplied required are stocked
  • Run a theatre list without supervision
  • Promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, organising data, interpreting information and making justifiable assessments
  • Ensuring patient record is completed correctly and in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • NMC-Registered Nurse / HCPC Registered as ODP (Operating Department Practitioner)
  • Ideally you will have ALS or ILS however training & courses can be offered
