Pulse have recently partnered with  one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Advanced Clinical Prescribing Pharmacist in Cancer Services, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This role is based in Grimsby, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role:
As an Advanced Clinical Prescribing Pharmacist in Cancer Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in our multidisciplinary team, focusing on delivering direct patient care with a special emphasis on chemotherapy and medicines optimisation.

Your main responsibilities as an Advanced Clinical Prescribing Pharmacist:

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care within the cancer services speciality, demonstrating advanced clinical assessment skills.
  • Prioritise patient needs independently, contributing to the management of treatment toxicities and medication optimisation.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and streamline care processes.
  • Provide training and education on medicines optimisation within the speciality, promoting improved patient care.
  • Act as a mentor and supervisor for junior team members, fostering a culture of continual professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, tailoring information to meet individual needs.
  • Uphold professional standards and adhere to clinical governance principles, ensuring safe and efficient service delivery.
  • Participate in audit and research activities, contributing to service improvement and clinical best practice.
  • Undertake non-medical prescribing in accordance with Trust policies, supporting patient care and medicines management.

What we are looking for in an Advanced Clinical Prescribing Pharmacist:

  • GPHC registered
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Integrity and compassion
