Pulse are currently working with a West London trust who are looking to source several experienced OT's for their community pediatrics team. This year, the service has been recognised as one of the top 100 NHS organisations to work for by the Health Service Journal and NHS Employers. Their commitment to their staff has also been acknowledged in the 2014 National Staff Survey for top staff engagement rates and the lowest sickness of any community provider in England.
You will join an established team of Occupational Therapists working in an integrated service with Children’s Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy. The post holder will carry a varied caseload of children and young people. The caseload consists of children with a diverse range of special needs including complex neurological disorders, developmental co-ordination disorders and autistic spectrum disorders.
This position provides an ideal opportunity for the post-holder to continue to develop their clinical skills alongside a supportive multi-disciplinary team whilst enhancing and developing their leadership and managing skills. This aspect of the role will include supporting and supervising staff, monitoring performance and driving forward service development. In addition to working alongside your immediate team, you will also work closely with the service manager who will offer on-going support and supervision.
This is a full time, permanent position. In order to be considered candidates must be HCPC registered occupational therapists and must have an extensive background in pediatrics with several years of varied experience. Experience of working in community based roles would also be beneficial as would previous leadership and/or management experience.
