They provide services on a national level working with their clients to deliver return to work services that demonstrate significant savings in absence related costs.

The team of multi disciplined clinicians deliver programmes across the country, which are proven to reduce the financial and lifestyle impact of physical, mental and occupational related conditions. They work to restore, improve and maintain patient’s wellness for work and life.

 

Main Purpose

The main purpose of this post is to provide clients and patients with a first class Physiotherapy and rehabilitation service which fulfils the mission of the company.

The service should achieve individual benefits such as fitness for work and quality of life as well as the hard business benefits which the reduction of musculoskeletal absence can provide.

 

The post holder will be required to fulfil the following individual requirements:

  • Keep up to date with evidence-based practice/guidelines and assist in development of programmes in line with available evidence

  • Maintain evidence of continual professional development

  • Maintain membership of the HPC and participate in the management development programme

     

    Occupational Physiotherapy is a challenging position and the post holder will require to possess the ability to fulfil the following behaviours:

  • Be prepared to be challenged and  to ask for support and case conference when appropriate

  • Demonstrate the ability to keep calm, or step back from any situation in which you feel emotionally challenged

  • Ensure the professional appearance of both you and the Centre with regards to cleanliness, housekeeping and resources

 

  • Learn and understand the referral mechanism and communication lines including key contacts for each client (HR, H+S, OH)

  • Be familiar with all clients and the nature of service provided, including SLAs and KPIs

  • Be aware of the roles and responsibilities and viewpoints of all stakeholders and develop working relationships in order to achieve a safe and sustainable return to work for patients

  • Understand and uphold the H&S requirements of each site and ensure you always follow policies and procedures in regards to your own  your colleagues, patients clients and visitors health and safety

  • Perform  general and specific risk assessment of all sites from which the services are delivered and ensure that there are safe systems of work

  • Demonstrate competent use of all aspects of freehand required to deliver all services in which they are involved

  • Ensure you aware of the contents of  the company procedure manuals  and follow the procedures for each service in which you are involved

  • Ensure that any information provided meets the patients needs and that any printed material meets company standards and is from an approved source.

  • Maintain the Centre ensuring it is clean tidy and safe

     

    The post holder will be required to maximise the potential benefits of the service:

  • Become an expert in understanding  all jobs carried out by Centre attendees and jobs undertaken in on-site contracts  in which you are involved

  • Carry out job analyses following the standardised format used by the company

  • Identify the physical expectations of each job and common musculoskeletal problems which could be expected

  • Identify the Biopsychosocial risk factors which contribute to these common problems

  • Outline specific exercises and circuits for each job task which could be tailored for maximum functional rehabilitation

     

    The post holder will also be required to:

  • Participate in an ongoing management development programme

  • Carry out workplace assessments and on the job training in prevention and management strategies

  • Assist in the delivery of clinical training and support colleagues and assistants in work assessment and management systems

  • Supervision and mentoring of  Junior and Senior II members of staff, following CSP and company guidelines

  • Assist in the development and delivery of in service training at a company Centre on a monthly basis

  • Assist in the development and delivery of  sessions at clinical meetings at HQ at least 3 times a year

  • Occasionally travel to other Centres and stay away overnight

  • The post holder may have responsibility for delivery of on-site services, in some cases being  permanently based on site at a clients location

 

 

Salary £24,000 - £26,000 + London Weighting
