Pulse is now actively seeking to recruit Band 6 Acute Physiotherapist to work on acute Surgical and Medical wards or alternatively Acute older Peoples wards at a well-established NHS trust located in Leytonstone.  There is a main line train station close by and other regular transport links.   

The placement is available for an immediate start, working up until 01/09/2017. The role will include working 7.5 hour days and working a mix of shifts 8:00-16:00 or 10:00-18:00 Monday-Friday.  

Duties within this role will include:

  • Managing own ITU caseload
  • Treating patients undergoing planned surgery and patients who have been admitted due to a traumatic incident or accident
  • Pre-admission and pre-operative assessment
  • Treating spinal cord injury
  • Monitoring and evaluating patients progress  
  • Making referrals when necessary to other healthcare professionals
  • Daily rehab to patients on the ward

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Relevant degree/qualification
  • HCPC registered
  • Previous experience working in similar role
  • Working on acute wards with ability to manage respiratory patients
