Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated psychiatrist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services for adults within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical care and support to adults with mental health disorders, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment under the supervision of consultant psychiatrists.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor patients’ progress and response to treatment, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical reviews to ensure coordinated and integrated care for patients.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior medical staff, including specialty trainees, medical students, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Contribute to service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and research activities within the department.

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry (or eligibility for registration).
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Specialty Doctor or equivalent in adult psychiatry settings.
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage with patients and their families.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care and promoting mental wellness.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous professional development and engagement in clinical governance activities.
