The latest Viewpoint updates for Psychiatry

Thank you once again for responding to our first Viewpoint survey of 2023. Your honesty and valuable comments really do help us to keep improving our service to you.

Based on your most recent responses, we’d like to take you through some of the initiatives we have implemented and are still working on to provide you with the best possible support as you continue your career with Pulse.

Communication

Information hub

As you may recall from a previous update, we are currently creating an information hub. We want to be fully transparent with you about the progress on this. Several other urgent projects have taken priority and delayed these plans, but we are delighted to inform you that work is now well and truly underway.

The hub will be a valuable resource where you’ll be able to find everything you need to know whilst working with Pulse. This will include information on payroll, pensions, mental health and wellbeing information, and details on our regular Viewpoint surveys.

There is a lot of important information, support, and advice we’d like to provide you with, so we are ensuring this is presented in a concise and accessible way. We know how important it is that you are given the right information at the right time, to help minimise any queries or misunderstandings.

Consultant leaver process

Following your feedback from a previous survey, we recognised that in some cases we weren’t reallocating you quickly enough to another consultant and there were occasions when you didn’t know who to speak with.

We have been working on this, and our team managers now ensure that everyone in our workforce always has an allocated consultant. Rest assured that this will remain a top priority of ours, to avoid this situation reoccurring.

If you’re unsure who to speak to, please call our Candidate Care team who can advise; they are also always on hand to support you if your consultant is not available.

New digital solutions

You gave us some very helpful feedback on the need for improved digital options, especially when it comes to your compliance and onboarding journey, and your payroll experience. We are pleased to inform you that we have a couple of solutions already in progress, which will make your user experience more efficient, accessible, and convenient.

We’ve briefly highlighted some of these digital enhancements and their key features below:

ipoint – our e-timesheet app

Our brand-new digital timesheet solution, ipoint will be implemented in the coming months, for those working in a non-direct engagement placement. This will give you greater control and a more efficient payroll service. The ipoint app will:

  • Give you access to submit hours worked, while on the move
  • Enable you to receive your pay faster, as timesheets are automatically added to the payroll queue
  • Provide you with real time updates
  • Enable online or email timesheet approval
  • Ensure we are doing what we can to protect the environment, with no need for a paper version

We will contact you in due course regarding when this change will take place, to ensure your payment remains unaffected.

Onboarding portal

Your feedback has also helped us develop our new onboarding portal, which will significantly reduce the length of time it takes new applicants to complete our onboarding documentation when joining Pulse. The imminent launch will:

  • Make the process quicker and easier to understand, with step-by-step guides offering more information and help throughout
  • Enable all future applicants to complete each stage in one visit or save their progress and return to finish at a more convenient date
  • Provide transparency so that all compliance activities can be completed online, with live status progress updates available, so applicants know exactly what is still required from them

New referral process

We are excited to announce that we are in the final stages of developing our new referral process which will make referring a friend and receiving your deserved referral fee much easier and quicker.

Due to be launched in May, and offering a much-improved referral experience, we can’t wait to share further details with you soon.

Reward and recognition

We recently held our 2022 Pulse Awards winners’ ceremony at the iconic Savoy Hotel London, and it was an unforgettable day celebrating the amazing and inspirational achievements of our winners. You can watch our Awards highlight video below.
