Pulse have a new part time social worker position available within a specialist secure and learning disability service.
The independent hospital offers treatment for adults with learning disabilities and mental health diagnosis in medium and low secure environments. Many patients have complex needs including forensic histories, mental illness, autism and personality disorders. Most patients are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

The successful candidate will be involved with working within a multi-disciplinary team across the four units which consist of 32 medium secure and 17 low secure beds and be involved in coordinating discharge-plans. You will also be responsible for writing tribunal reports, attending hearings and providing oral evidence. 

We are looking to hear from qualified social workers with:
• A Social Work Degree
• Current HCPC registration
• Experience working with people with a learning disability or forensic backgrounds 
• Knowledge and understanding of mental health and mental capacity acts and the codes of practices
• Willingness to develop forensic skills and knowledge of learning disability and mental disorders under supervision
