Part-Time Experienced Social Worker – Referral & Assessment Team – North Wessex – Up to £35,000 (pro rata)
My client in North Wessex is looking to bolster their permanent Children’s Assessment Team with knowledgeable Social Workers on a part time basis to support their current full-time staff. Recent re-structuring As part of the Assessment team you’ll be helping develop innovative ways of working using their Safeguarding Framework, ensuring the best protective outcomes for the children in the borough. As a part time worker you will be working half hours, working in their pod system for 2.5 days a week, or a 2/3 day week split. You will be completing Section 47s, initial Assessments, Chairing Child Protection Core Groups and supervising contact – the key to this role will be supporting newly qualified and ASYE workers with complex cases, and giving added provision to a high paced team.

The Part-time Referral and Assessment Team social worker should have:
3-4 years’ experience as a Senior Social Worker
Ideally exposure to mentoring/supervising (even if just an individual)
Extensive experience completing Section 47s
Experience attending CP meetings & Case conferences
Experience liaising with internal colleagues and external agencies to inform and assess care planning, joint planning and delivery of interventions
Experience in LAC duties
Excellent inter-personal skills
