Position: Consultant in Learning Disability Psychiatry within an independent hospital
Hours: This position is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £130,000 per annum
Dates: Immediate start (permanent role)
Location: This vacancy is situated within Nottinghamshire
As a Consultant Psychiatrist you will be responsible for patients across 2 services with mild to moderate Learning Disability and other comorbid metal disorders. You will also be responsible for the clinical supervision of middle grade doctors and auditing the medical services rendered at the hospitals, ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC and other relevant professional guidelines. To effectively streamline and manage admissions and discharges for the most efficient use of the beds at the hospital is a key priority, as well as liaising with local GP and general hospitals to address and manage inpatients’ health most effectively.
- You must have; excellent verbal communication skills, writing skills and be computer literate.
- You need to be Flexible, remain professional at all times and to be able to work with Adults of all ages.
- You must be GMC registered
- CCT in Learning Disability Psychiatry
- Approved Clinician
- Section 12 approved
