Pulse Psychiatry now has a vacancy for a Consultant in Adult in Psychiatry
Information about the placement.
Placement start/end date: The successful candidate is to be available from 05/02/2018 with the possibility of an extension.
Proposed work pattern: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm = 7.5 Hours per day. 37.5 Hours per week.
Information on the Trust.
The Trust is the organisation responsible for planning, organising and purchasing NHS funded healthcare for people living in the area. The Trust is one of the biggest in the country with 105 GP practices as members. There's a federation of six local commissioning groups (LCGs) covering all GP practices. The Trust has a patient population of approximately 930,000, which is diverse, ageing, and has significant inequalities.
The suitable candidate must have these following skills and experience:
- Full GMC registration
- Licence to practice,
- Excellent spoke communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- To be professional at all times.
- To have experience in General Adult Psychiatry is preferred but not essential.
Brief Summary of details:
Full time work in the AAU (acute assessment unit) providing brief 2-3 day admissions for those in psychiatric crisis; and providing cover for colleagues on other inpatient wards in the hospital, where there is a mixed treatment (approximately three week admission) and a recovery ward (approximately three month admission).
