Mental Health Awareness Week 2017: Surviving or Thriving?
Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week, a week created by the Mental Health Foundation to raise awareness of mental health and reduce the stigma associated with it. This year’s MHAW theme is Surviving or Thriving? Taking a different approach than that of previous years, this year’s theme probes in to why few people are thriving with good mental health, including:
- How many people are surviving or thriving and the difference between them
- Why communities are under strain and what more support is needed
- Ways to look after our own mental health
We’ll be sharing lots of interesting stuff on our social media channels throughout MHAW so please check out our Facebook and Twitter pages and take part in reducing the stigma of mental health.
