Staff Nurse (Band 5) – Emergency Department

Permanent, Full time

Grade: Band 5

Salary: £34,876 – £40,434 BAR £41,544- £44,981 per annum

Location: Guernsey

Pulse is recruiting an experienced and driven Staff Nurse to join a leading Emergency Department in Guernsey!

The successful candidate will regularly take charge of the Emergency Department. They will have the ability to oversee and take part in the professional and skill development of nursing staff members, both qualified and unqualified. The postholder will require excellent verbal and communication skills, with a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure in a changing environment.

Requirements

 

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload, often under pressure.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and alone without direct supervision within your level of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for organizing, reviewing, and putting into practice patient care programs.
  • Serve as clinical supervisor and preceptor to assist first and second-level nurses develop their abilities
  • Assist new hires with completing orientation and induction programs by serving as a key figure
  • Serve as facilitator for qualified and unqualified nursing staff, providing them with the chance to complete learning contracts’ objectives and acquire specific competencies
  • Provide quality care in conformity with the ward’s current philosophy
