Learning Mentor - Tower Hamlets

Job description

Apply for this job

Are you a motivated, enthusiastic graduate with a degree in either Chemistry or Physics? Are you trying to decide whether or not teaching is the way forward for your career?

Based in Central London, this Ofsted-graded ‘Outstanding’ school seeks a Learning Mentor specializing in Physics or Chemistry to join them from September on a full-time basis. The job role involves working with small groups of GCSE or A Level students, scaffolding their already high achievements in the subject. In this very happy, achievement focused school you will liaise with teachers to identify gaps in student learning or areas for improvement. You will assign work and help aid student understanding of the assigned material.

For the candidate who is interested, the school will offer a spot on its highly regard in-school training programme which leads to full QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). This will give you the opportunity to join the school as a full-time teacher, a school that values full-time members of staff and boasts an impressively high staff retention rate. Most importantly, it gives the right candidate an opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a school that has moved from strength to strength over the last decade.
