It’ll provide an introduction to breach of duty of care, giving attendees insight into real-life case reviews, while also providing advice on how to protect yourself from a duty of care breach. 

This course will help you to develop an understanding of:  

  • What duty of care is and what a breach looks like  
  • What makes a negligence case with case reviews  
  • How to protect yourself from a duty of care breach 

This 90-minute workshop will: 

  • Explore the different types of breaches for the NHS, private and agency sectors    
  • Detail how to ensure you have the appropriate protection in place 
  • Outline the differences between contractual and discretionary cover, and what the regulatory bodies require you to have in place

About the presenter

Karen Matthews-Shard, Global Clinical Director, Acacium Group  

Karen has over 40 years’ nursing experience across the acute and primary NHS, private sector and armed forces, and in both provider and commissioning organisations.
