Pulse Community Healthcare

Pulse Community Healthcare is a highly-specialised service with high standards of clinical governance which is delivered locally through a dedicated nationwide branch network. It’s staffed by skilled nurses and care co-ordinators whose work complies with both Care Quality Commission guidelines and policies and procedures developed by our experienced Clinical Directorate.
We work with a variety of organisations to provide ‘care packages’ in the community. These include hospitals and primary care trusts, local authorities, GPs, charities, case-management companies and voluntary organisations.
We plan community care in partnership with hospital teams - continuing care, intermediate care and discharge teams - and we provide experienced nurses, support workers and allied health professionals, managing everything from staff recruitment to day-to-day management of the team.
We look after clients with a wide range of medical problems who often have complex care requirements. These include:
After an initial assessment visit – with the primary care trust team (PCT) where appropriate – we develop a care plan. When this is approved we recruit and, most importantly, train the appropriate nurses and support workers to manage the client’s specific requirements. Our team of nurses and care co-ordinators is always on hand, providing continuous supervision, to ensure that everything runs smoothly and to manage any changes to the care plan.
