The latest Viewpoint updates for nursing, midwifery and theatre professionals.

Thank you to everyone who completed our latest Viewpoint survey. We were pleased to receive one of our most outstanding satisfaction rates of 71% and our highest-ever ease score, with more of you than ever saying how smooth and straightforward you find interacting with us. These results wouldn’t have been possible without your continued feedback throughout 2022. We want to say how much we appreciate your participation and for sharing your honest and insightful opinions with us. 

Based on your latest responses, here are some of the initiatives we have been and continue to work on so we can continue to support your career in 2023 in the best possible way.   

Changes to our compliance and retention teams

Since our last communication, we have significantly changed the size of our retention and compliance teams. By implementing these changes, we have increased our capacity to support you when you need us, now and in the future. Our new starters are still in the learning curve for their roles. While we are trying to ensure they are trained to the highest standard as quickly as possible, we can see that some of you have experienced frustration when communicating with these teams. We’d like to apologise for your experience during this period of change; we want to assure you that we are continually reviewing your feedback and implementing improvements for the future.  

Booking confirmations

Such a wide variety of roles across multiple clients means we work with numerous shift booking processes, each with its own system or portal. We recognise that it can be frustrating when you tell us you want to book a shift and we can’t give you instant confirmation that the shift is secured. We are working hard behind the scenes to reduce confirmation times when it’s under our control. 

We have made positive progress integrating many of our clients’ systems with our own to streamline the service even further. However, full integration is only sometimes possible; therefore, shift confirmation in some cases is still dependent upon which trust the role is with. Most but not all clients we work with can instantly confirm bookings; we may need to wait a short amount of time before we can confirm the shifts for you. If you’d like to know which clients have shifts with instant confirmation, please speak to your recruitment consultant, who will be able to advise you. We appreciate your understanding, and as ever, the Pulse team is always on hand should you have any shift confirmation queries.

Pay

We understand the cost-of-living crisis has placed additional financial strain on most people, and we are making every effort to secure new roles with competitive pay for you. We continue to secure new clients in the NHS and the private sector across the UK. New opportunities are added every week to suit different specialisms, circumstances, and lifestyles, with many of these roles also offering escalated rates. Unlike other agencies, here at Pulse, we also provide our healthcare professionals with same-day pay so you can quickly receive your money into your account. Pulse Awards

Thank you to everyone for your participation in our first-ever Pulse Awards. We received over 750 nominations and 8000 votes, surpassing our expectations. We were blown away reading through all the nominations and are proud to work with such inspirational healthcare professionals daily. Next up, we have our award winners ceremony on the 10th of February at The Savoy Hotel in London, and we can’t wait to celebrate.
