£17,500 pa - plus monthly bonus

Full time hours - 37.5 hour week to cover office open hours of 8am - 7pm (Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri 8-4/9-5 and every other Weds 11-7)

We are currently seeking a Patient Support Administrator to join our Patient Support Team based in our Leeds City Centre offices, providing support for a National Diabetes Prevention Service. This lifestyle intervention is delivered by a team of Health and Wellbeing Coaches and focuses on helping service users to reduce their risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.

This role is ideal for someone with call center and customer service experience, as this is a fast paced role where you will provide telephone and administration support to our regional teams via the management of service user referrals though data implementation and telephone and email communication.

Job Scope:

Responsible for undertaking all administration duties required to ensure NDPP service users can progress from referral onto a programme. This includes:

  • Provide first point of contact for patients contacting the National Diabetes Prevention Programme via the telephone.

  • Ensure patients receive excellent customer service through knowledgeable introduction to our programme.

  • Explain the next steps in the process ensuring timescales are understood.

  • Enter new patient details onto our management system in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Identify and escalate priority issues.

About you:

To become part of the Patient Support Team you must have high level data entry skills that include attention to accuracy whilst maintaining speed, ideally having worked in a similar environment. An excellent telephone manner and confidence in handling people with sensitivity and understanding is a key attribute, as is strong organisation qualities with attention to detail.

Background within a health environment would be an advantage but not essential, as would be strong IT skills given the technical aspects of the contract.
