Pulse is now looking to recruit a PBS Practitioner to join an innovative service based in Norfolk. This is a full-time role available to start as soon as possible, and you will be working within a fantastic multidisciplinary team. The service support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge.

The post holder will use their expertise to support, predominantly in the following areas:

  • Staff training & development
  • Functional Behaviour Assessment
  • Behaviour Support Planning (BSP)
  • BSP implementation (including practice workshops)
  • Incident analysis & debrief
  • Meetings and supervision 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold, or be working towards a formal qualification in:
    • Positive Behaviour Support i.e. PBS BTEC (advanced professional Diploma)
    • BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
    • MSc in Analysis and Intervention in Learning Disability
    • Applied Behaviour Analysis - Psychology
    • Board associate Certified Behaviour Analyst status is desirable, NOT essential 
  • Hold Physical Intervention Training approved under the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD) accreditation scheme to at least Instructor level
  • A full drivers’ licence
