Pulse are working with an established educational service in the Cardiff area who are looking to appoint a permanent Consultant Clinical Psychologist to lead their local psychology service and manage a small team of therapists.

The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to children and young people which reflects relevant knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder. This may include applying psychological tests, neuropsychological tests and self report measures. They will also train, mentor, coach and skill teams to be able to offer the best possible support as required. The post holder will also provide responsive emergency interventions and plans when required.

It is essential that candidates have doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology with two or more distinct psychological therapies. They must be registered with HCPC and have experience of providing direct support to people with learning disabilities.
