Pulse are working with a specialist service to find them a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist for a permanent post.

The post holder will be working as part of the Family Safeguarding Service, offering assessments and therapy to parents referred to the team. The Psychologist will need to have experience undertaking evidence based interventions (individual and group therapy), as well as providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Whilst not an essential requirement of the post, being able to offer Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) will be an advantage to any applicants. 

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including social workers and other therapists, the Psychologist will be supervised by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. The post holder will be working with parents and their children where there is a high risk of severe parenting issues, including maltreatment and neglect.

The ideal candidate must be registered with the HCPC, however applications from Psychologists qualifying this year will definitely be considered. The post is available to band 7 and 8a psychologists. Being a car driver is an essential requirement for the post.
