Clinical or Forensic Psychologist – Derbyshire – Band 8A

Pulse is seeking a Clinical Psychologist in Derbyshire to work within an adult rehabilitation service. You will provide help and support to adults with learning disabilities and psychological distress. You will work as part of a MDT of clinicians and support staff by providing psychological treatment and assessment.

 

 The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Provide psychological assessment and management of challenging behaviour with patients with autistic spectrum disorder and learning disabilities.

  • Attend MDT reviews and organise care planning exercises for each patient

  • Use computer software and IT equipment to fill in statistical and database spreadsheets.

  • Research, collect and collate data to write and present reports

  • Oversee assistant psychologists during assessment and treatments

     

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a registered practitioner psychologist recognised by the HCPC

  • Post graduate doctoral level training in either Clinical Psychology as accredited by the BPS (including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology)

  • Be trained in clinical supervision

  • Has had previous experience in working as a qualified psychologist
