Pulse are recruiting for a 8b/8c HCPC registered Clinical, Counselling and Educational Psychologist to join a child learning disabilities service in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The candidate appointed will be available ASAP covering full time hours for a minimum of 6 months, part time applications will also be considered. This post was developed to provide clinical leadership to a newly created multi-professional therapeutic service (with PBS as the primary therapeutic model) for children and young people with learning disabilities. The team currently consists of behaviour therapists, speech and language therapy, Associate Psychology, and admin support. The team will soon be supplemented by a specialist occupational therapist, team coordinator, and family support staff. The postholder will serve as both the consultant clinical psychologist to the team and the community clinical lead with wider managerial responsibilities including supervision of senior staff, including the team coordinator for the therapeutic service, and provision of advice on policy/procedural matters to senior management. Due to the nature of the work, applicants applying will have extensive experience working with learning disabilities for both adults and children.
