Job Summary

Position: Consultant in Neuropsychiatry within an independent hospital

Hours: This Position is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week 

Salary: Up to £145,000 per annum

Dates:  Immediate start (permanent role)

Location:  This vacancy is situated within Somerset

 

Job description

As a Consultant Psychiatrist you will have medical responsibility for patients across the service and work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT); working collaboratively with other AHPs. 

To have overall responsibility of patient treatment plans, whilst liaising with the multidisciplinary team. You will also lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management and embed clinical governance within the hospital.

Be responsible for the supervision of reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and managers' hearings and attend hearings whenever possible. There will also be a requirements to participate in the on-call rota approximately 1 in 7.

 

Skills

  • You must have; excellent verbal communication skills, writing skills and be computer literate.
  • You need to be Flexible, remain professional at all times and to be able to work with Adults of all ages.

Experience/Grade

  • You must be GMC registered
  • CCT in General Adult psychiatry or just experience at a senior level of Neuropsychiatry
  • Approved Clinician
  • Section 12 approved
