Hours: This position is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week 

Salary: Up to £150,000 per annum

Job description

Seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to cover our male PICU and male acute services. We are looking for someone who will be a key player in assessing, diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders at Consultant level and also provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
Assessing and treating psychiatric disorders at Consultant level, you’ll manage a dynamic MDT, cover peers when necessary and be available for on-call cover. Passionate about providing the best interventions for service users, you’ll be a key player in care assessment meetings and tribunals. And as a committed and intuitive leader, you’ll bring your expertise to ensure the safety and development of your team and the inpatients in your care.



  • You must have; excellent verbal communication skills, writing skills and be computer literate.
  • You need to be Flexible, remain professional at all times and to be able to work with Adults of all ages.


  • You must be GMC registered
  • CCT in General Adult Psychiatry
  • Approved Clinician
  • Section 12 approved
