Registration

How do I register to collect points?

No registration is required. All nurses, midwives, HCAs and ODPs registered with us at the time of launch were automatically enrolled into the scheme.

What if I wasn’t a Pulse candidate at the time of launch?

Don’t worry, new workers (nurses, midwives, HCAs and ODPs) who register with us post launch will be automatically enrolled once they are cleared and ready to work.


Collecting points

How do I collect points?

You’ll earn one point for every hour you work. You’ll only receive points for those submitted via timesheets, this is done via the usual payroll process set out in our handbook.

How do I book a shift to earn points?

You can book a shift as usual, through your consultant or via ipoint.

What are the point levels?

How long do I have to collect points?

Points can be earned between the 8th January 2019 to 31st December 2019.

Will my points expire?

Yes. If you fail to work a shift within a 12-week period, then your points total will be reset back to zero. Don’t worry, we’ll inform you when you’re getting close to this point.


Points balance

How can I check my points balance?

You’ll receive an email at the start of each month with your current total. Your consultant will also be able to update you on your latest points total. To ensure you can receive our emails, please check we have the correct email address for you.


Claiming points

When can I claim my points?

You must have enough points at each level before claiming the reward. Unfortunately, part payment of rewards is not possible.

What happens once I’ve claimed my points?

Points that have been redeemed cannot be used again. Your claimed points will be deducted from your overall total.

Can I carry my points over?

Of course. If you don’t want to claim at the level you have reached, you keep earning points to reach the next levels.

What are my options for claiming points?

You can claim one of the three rewards available, these are monetary, voucher or an alternative reward (these include a uniform, DBS check and training certificates).

What are the maximum rewards for 2019?

The total monetary reward you can claim in 2019 is £1,000. The total voucher reward you can claim is £750. For the alternative reward, the maximum cash value you can claim is £800. For further training certificates, you can only claim 10 within 2019.

Do I need to pay TAX and National Insurance on monetary rewards?

Yes. All cash rewards are subject to tax and national insurance deductions. If you are a PAYE worker, Pulse will deduct this for you. If you are a limited company or an umbrella worker, then you are responsible for your own tax declaration.

How do I claim my rewards?
