We have an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse looking for the next step up or a ward manager wanting a new challenge. This would be to work for one of London’s largest private hospital.

 

We are looking for a nurse with a minimum of 4 years experience within a surgical nursing setting and preferably some exposure to a variety of surgical specialties – the surgical ward covers; orthopaedics, gynaecology, breast & colorectal (amongst others) across a 40 bed ward.

 

The Ward Manager will be working Monday – Friday across a 37.5 hour working week.

 

This role will really be a hands-on nursing some days in addition to providing management of staff undertaking the following roles and responsibilities:

 

  • Ensuring correct skills mix on each shift
  • Staff line management
  • Ensure smooth running of the ward
  • Identify any training needs for staff
  • Provide clinical leadership
  • Evaluate, assess and implement policies & procedures to enhance the service

 

This ward manager will be a key member of the senior management team dedicated to the smooth running of, and the coordination and management of the ward.

 

Also, liaising with Consultant Surgeons on a regular basis we are looking for a confident and strong communicator with good presentation skills.

 

You will be the point of contact for any clinical complaints, staff training and ensuring there is always the correct skills mix on shift.

 

The nurse will receive a salary of up to £52,000 per annum + benefits! This is a great opportunity for a nurse wanting to gain experience and progress their career within a management role.
