Position –Ward Manager- Cambridge
Location – Cambridge 
Ref - DBWMCAM
Salary – Up to £40K
Hours – Full Time 37.5hrs per Week


Role Purpose:
As Ward Manager, you will be responsible for organisation and management of Wards. 
Responsible for delivering a governance framework within own area of responsibility.
Provision of clear direction and leadership 
Responsible for development, motivation and performance 
Maintenance of professional, cost-effective nursing service including financial management and business planning.
Achievement of CQC Standards as required for nursing services.
Achievement of labour management target, nursing costs KPI and weekly completion of staff utilisation spreadsheets.

Core Responsibilities:
Ward Manager must provide leadership and management to nursing teams.
Ensuring efficient nursing service is maintained.
To be a member of the senior management team, actively participating in decision-making   processes and business development the Hospital.

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

RGN with valid NMC Registration.
Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification.
Experienced in acute nursing care.
Ability to lead a nursing team.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of HR management.

Salary & Benefits: Equivalent to NHS Band 8, dependent on experience.
