An excellent opportunity for a Theatre Scrub Practitioner, RGN/ODP with previous practice in a surgical setting to join an energetic and skilled team has arisen at this hospital in Leeds. My client is part of a national group of surgical hospitals and has an excellent reputation locally and with the CQC for providing outstanding levels of care.  The hospital is looking for a self-motivated and hardworking RGN/ODP to join this team on a full-time basis.  As part of the role you will work with a varied caseload using equipment, technology and facilities which are state-of-art.

The ideal candidate for this Theatre Scrub Practitioner role will be confident working in fast paced and high-pressured environment. You will have experience working in a similar role and be confident supervising and supporting clinical staff in the delivery of care.  You will be assessing, planning and implementing and evaluating care as part of the multidisciplinary team.  For this role you will need a in-depth understanding of all theoretical and practical developments in your field and be able to act as a mentor to junior members of staff.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing the highest standards of nursing care to a caseload of patients
  • Planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating individual person-centred care plans
  • Adhering to Care Quality Commission standards for quality care provision
  • Fully complying with all policies and procedures
  • Supervise and monitor standards of care and take appropriate action to improve standards when required
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Registered General Nurse qualified with relevant experience (RGN/ODP)
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Post registration in Immediate/Advanced Life Support
  • Up to date clinical experience
  • Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
