Theatre Coordinator
Monday – Friday,
Up to £50,000 per annum + excellent benefits package

Are you an experienced senior theatre nurse/theatre manager who is looking for a new opportunity?

Pulse is delighted to be working alongside the UK’s leading private orthopaedic and sports injury group to recruit a theatre manager for their new day surgery centre.

This prestigious healthcare organisation is a centre of excellence for providing diagnosis and treatments of non surgical and surgical musculoskeletal conditions, in addition to providing care to high performance and recreational athletes with sports injuries.

The state-of-the-art day stay theatre suite is based at one of their central London clinics, and comprises of three fully equipped theatres along with a post-operative recovery room.

The successful candidate will demonstrate previous managerial and orthopaedic experience in a theatre setting, alongside a genuine interest in this speciality. Scrub theatre skills are also essential.

The team comprises of 18 scrub, anaesthetics and recovery staff. The successful candidate will adopt a ‘hands-on’ management approach and act as a role model to the theatre team. A motivational and dynamic approach to leadership is required due to the clinics ambitious plans to expand and improve on their existing services. Other roles and responsibilities include:

  • Continuous appraisal of current practices and policies

  • Becoming a key member of the multi-disciplinary team; working alongside surgeons, physicians, radiologists and other nursing and non-clinical staff

  • Clinical governance and risk management

  • Identifying staff training needs to maintain high levels of clinical professional practice
